Organizational Models
The alignment of resources and value chain activities to achieve and sustain competitive advantage. Re-thinking the organizational models for finance, human resources or information technology within an organization to properly match skills, resources and costs will maximize efficiency and provide transparency to effectively manage both internal and external operations.
Symptoms:
- Siloed groups within the organization
- Different information is provided by different groups within the organization when asked the same question
- Limited understanding or transparency to tasks and responsibilities
- High cost of transaction processing
- Staff complaints about too much time spent on data entry instead of financial analysis
- No clear core capabilities that provide a sustainable competitive advantage

Real Solutions… Measureable Results
Determined to reduce costs and provide higher service quality to their internal business colleagues, this global financial management services firm requested assistance to move its transaction-related accounting off-shore to the Philippines.
Roles/responsibilities were reallocated between multiple locations and a comprehensive knowledge transfer and support program was developed to reduce costs and realize the benefits of centralized transaction processing as quickly as possible. Education for new business processing and controls, cultural awareness, accounting and reporting was designed to encourage self-sufficiency and supportive team-oriented behaviors. Accountability for transaction processing has been shifted to the Philippines while the Finance group at headquarters can focus on providing valuable business information to help direct corporate strategy and decision-making.
